Indeginous descent Knowlton was born Claude Lacasse in Rimouski, Québec, Canada; close to the Montagnais (métis) reserve in Ashini, Quebec, where his great-grandparents lived.

 

At age two, his parents moved to Sherbrooke, Quebec. Knowlton quickly joined the choir at St-Boniface’s church singing weekly in Latin, French and English. Several summer shows were performed in the basement of that same church.

 

At the age of 19, Knowlton moved to the United States to make his stage debut at the Palm Springs' Players Guild theatre; as well as performing in the musical Camelot at the Palm Desert McCallum theatre.

 

In the following year Knowlton moved to Los Angeles to study at the Lee Strasberg Institute and started doing student films, short films, and commercials; which eventually led to film and television work.

His longevity as a film and television actor has allowed him to work on numerous projects over the years with some of Hollywood's top A-List talent while Guest Starring on such shows as New Girl, American Crime Story, Scandal, Jane the Virgin, Supernatural to name a few.

 

Claude will soon be seen in the CW Season 6 (2021) of Supergirl,  in episodes 602, 603 and 604 and can be seen on several Netflix series such as The Order, New Girl, Supernatural, Scandal, Jane The Virgin and iZombie.

 

Claude spends his time between Vancouver BC , Magog QC, and Los Angeles CA.
